臺(tái)灣茂矽電子股份有限公司設(shè)立于一九八七年一月八日，同年四月三日開始營(yíng)業(yè)；一九九○、一九九一年陸續(xù)購(gòu)并美國(guó)茂矽與美國(guó)華智公司，于一九九五年完成股本大眾化之目標(biāo)，股票正式于臺(tái)灣證券交易所掛牌上市。

Mosel Vitelic Inc. was established in 1991 through the merger of MOSEL Ectronics Taiwan Inc. (which had been established on January 8, 1987, and began operations on April 3, 1987) and US company Vitelic Corporation. Mosel Vitelic was listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in September 1995.
